Our Kenyan Style Chevdo is a traditional savoury snack that is usually consumed with a cup of Chai and is the perfect match with our Classic or Modern Chai blend. A winning combination!
Kenyan Style Chevdo, is one of the most popular snack items amongst Indian families who grew up in East Africa and migrated in the late 60's or early 70's to the UK. It is homemade in the UK and a delicious blend of deep-fried potatoes, peanuts, cashew nuts, pressed rice, curry leaves, seeds and much more to give a crunchy, slightly sweet and spiced snack.
Ingredients:
Potatoes, Sunflower Oil, Corn Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Vegetable Oil, Pressed Rice, Moong Dal, Bengal Gram, Peanuts, Cashew Nuts, Sesame Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Coriander, Coriander Seeds, Mustard, Lemon Juice, Antioxidant Potassium Metabisulfite, Curry Leaves, Cloves, Tumeric Powder, Dry Red Chillies, Green Chillies, Custer Sugar, Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Eno (Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid & Anhydrous Sodium), Black Salt & Antioxidant (INS319). No artifical colours or flavourings.

Our Classic Chai is a family blend that has been passed down through our generations and our recipe has travelled far and wide, from our grandparents and their ancestors in India to my parents brewing it in Kenya, and now passed onto the 4th generation in the UK.
This recipe includes an array of natural ingredients - Loose Black Tea, Pepper, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cardamom and Cinnamon which gives a perfectly balanced Chai with a gentle pepper and ginger kick. Whilst the blend of spices is important to the perfect cup, so is the brewing process and the black tea you use.
Our loose black tea is sourced from the farms in Africa, and pay fair prices for really good tea to make a lovely blend that’s large in flavour, seriously refreshing and perfect for a cup of Chai.

The masala tea blend is so lovely and full of flavour, as soon as you open the pack, there's wonderful spice and tea mix aroma. The tea blend is very enjoyable, highly recommend, I love that the pack as instructions including measurements to make the perfect cup of masala chai.
The chevdo is fresh, crunchy, has the right amount of spice and so moorish.
I’ve tried many masala tea’s but this was definitely one of the better ones! I have to also mention that the packaging was really good too!
